About Me

Wendy Edelstein, MA, PCC, CPCC, CPQC, is an executive coach who brings insight and transformation to leaders seeking to enhance performance and achieve greater impact without sacrificing well-being and balance.

My story: My interest in coaching is an outgrowth in my lifelong investigation of the question of whether we humans can change and find greater satisfaction. That query began early in life through psychotherapy and continued in that vein until I came to coaching.

Spoiler: The answer is yes. We can change.

Before starting my career in coaching in 2014, I worked as a writer in internal communications. I had roles at a national magazine, a tech startup, and a leading public university. Nevertheless, I wasn’t fulfilled.

I made a dramatic pivot to train as a coach at CTI, the Co-Active Training Institute. Coaching others through their challenges enables me to honor my value of service and making a difference. Since 2017, I have volunteered as a pro bono coach to support young women changemakers through the Women’s Impact Alliance (formerly The Coaching Fellowship).

I believe each of us has more to offer the world and when we surmount internal obstacles, we can tap into our greater capacity.

My Approach to Coaching

My coaching will help you enhance your leadership skills, benefitting not only you but also your team and your organization.

Developing greater emotional intelligence, cultivating resilience, and honing your interpersonal skills will help you lead with greater impact and influence—and keep stress and overwhelm at manageable levels.

What brings a client to coaching? While every client is unique, common challenges include a desire to create work/life balance, develop teams, manage challenging direct reports, work strategically, and transition successfully to a new role. Or a client might be weighing a decision. I help them find the way that best meets their needs when they're at a challenging crossroads.

As your coach, I will hold you accountable and encourage you to move out of your comfort zone to gain insights, and cultivate new habits and ways of being that lead to the outcomes you want. I believe that choosing and being with discomfort and trying new things leads to increased confidence.

My clients have described me as perceptive, direct, intuitive, encouraging, truthful, kind, and collaborative. I'm passionate about developing greater capacity, resourcefulness, and awareness in clients in the service of creating meaningful change.

About Changeover Coaching

What is a changeover? And why did I choose that as the name of my business?

Changeover is a tennis term. And I’m a huge tennis fan. A changeover occurs after the third game of a tennis match and every two games thereafter.

During changeovers, players get the opportunity to sit down, rehydrate, and towel off. If you’re winning, that’s probably all that you’re doing. If you’re losing, a changeover is an opportunity to evaluate whether your game plan needs tweaking or if your execution is off. From there you decide what adjustments to make.

Even if you’re not following the pro tennis tours, I hope the word changeover suggests the possibility of transformation. My goal for you is to grow and profoundly change through our work together.
